I thought that we would be able to see the weather from the lock screen...guess not?! Also, on the iPad 2, does anyone know of an app that with the pulldown screen will show the weather like the iphone does? Thanks.

The weather has never been able to of been seen in the lock screens. The betas never had them, which is a bummer. iPad, for some reason, does not include those widgets, and may not get them until a later update.

Weather widget on lock screen?

Is it possible to put weather widget on lock screen? I thought I saw that somewhere back in June when Apple was demoing iOS5.

You thought incorrectly. You cannot see weather in the lock screen.

And no, Apple has not released the APIs to developers

Don't care about seeing on the locked screen. I want to have weather/stocks in the Notifications pulldown window.

Just go to SETTINGS>NOTIFICATIONS>IN NOTIFICATION CENTER and from here you can pick what's displayed including Weather and Stocks.

If you JB you can ;) . I had a sweet hack running a guy designed that would show the weather on my lockscreen and sorta animate it as well depending on what was going on (sun, cloudy, rain etc). Then you just tapped the lockscreen to get the full forecast for future days.

Would be cool if Apple would do something like that, but highly doubt they will. I wouldn't be surprised if the next iPhone doesn't have weather or other widgets for lockscreen.

There is nothing to select for weather and stocks on the iPad. What Apps are you using that work?
