I have the WeatherBug application, and I was wondering if anyone else has problems with locations?

When I set my zip code to where I live, it brings up locations that are supported by WeatherBug. The problem is that none of the locations offered are really in area, and I have never even heard of some of them.

Well, I got over it and chose the closest one. The alerts keep bothering me for air quality alerts and they never seem to go away.

The biggest thing for me was when I decided to go on WeatherBug's online website. I typed in my zip code and once again, I got the same locations. I chose the one that I have on my iPhone and browsed. I noticed that the weather was off by a few degrees between my iPhone and the computer. I also noticed that the wind was about the same miles per hour (give or take a few), but the wind was in total opposite directions. But they are coming from the same zip code (and not current location - I manually typed in my zip code).

And what is with the cameras section? It is completely useless!

I do not like this application, but it is the only weather one out there and I really want one that gives me alerts and stuff like that. I wish that The Weather Channel would make one!!

I hope they fix this quickly, doing the math every time takes away the good user experience. :)

I have not tried the App Store, yet. So figure out what bias or lack of knowledge that means.

I went through quite a bit in researching weather apps some months ago. I settled on a web "app": iwund. Wund stands for Weather Underground, and they have an iPhone version at i.wund.com. Many locations to choose from, far more than any other app or website I found. It has worked great for me and I just use the webclip on my main page so it looks like a normal app.

Is the WeatherBug app displaying an icon badge like mine is?

I thought 3rd party apps couldn't do this without the push notification service.

I currently like the weather bug the only complaint I have is it says there is 3 cameras for my area but I only get it to show only 1. Otherwise it works good, and is handy especially quick access to the radar . Sorry but I am a weather nerd.
