Web calendar that new and existing patients can use on webpage?

Hi.

I have a site for my practice built in iWeb. It would be great if I could put a calendar online that new and existing patients could use to book appointments. Obviously I would need to be able to restrict availability to my office hours, but would love if new and existing clients could book by interacting with the calendar. Is there any way to get something like iCal or Google Calendar embedded in my webpage with visitors having the ability to book blocks of time online?

I don't know if you realize what you're getting into with that. You'd need to have calendar software that has logins for each patient otherwise anyone could use the calendar. Also people would be able to see other people's appointments, which could raise privacy concerns. You also seem to believe the patients would know how long to book themselves for. There's just a lot that could go wrong with this.

Also, I don't think you want to be tying this into a iWeb site. iWeb is really for building personal blogs and family sites, not for businesses.

What about an easy way to embed my work calendar so people can see what slots are open. I could keep one without patient names. As for times, my patients do know that new patients need 90 minutes and followups are 45. Further that would be spelled out on the "Make an appointment" page along with the calendar, email link and phone.

Why don't you create a list of available slots created from your calender, allowing the patients to select time and date. Have a look at the nhs' online online pre booking service for a better idea (i'm very tired!).
