This is version 1.0 of this web site -- we are waiting on more photos from the photographer and more content. This is his official web site, so I want it to be good and represent him well. The last site I did was http://www.salimmusic.com -- should I add a music player to his site as well?

Personally, I think it's missing something at the moment. I'm adding more photos now (it's very text-based at the moment) -- I'm thinking maybe not a pure black background?

Any critiques would be great! Thanks guys!

On the whole, it's looking good, I think for an R&B artist the black and white image works really well. But you might want to make the type color for his name a little more somber.

The table under discography needs some cleaning up. In fact, I'd point to the table as being the weakest page on the site. something about the plain table for so many entries that looks a little unappealing.

Also, I'm wondering if maybe you want to list the articles under 'press' as headlines (maybe also the first couple of lines of the article?) plus a link - either an anchor or to a fresh page. Just for browsing ease...

You should aslo apply some padding in that table. The text is brushing right up against the edge there.

I like it, but it is very similar to your other design. You might want to mix it up a bit. Also, both sites are pretty darn slim. You might consider widening them some. (I find that 900 px is a pretty good measurement)

I'm trying to decide how I feel about this one still. I think it's an improvement but a couple of things strike me about the site. One is that it seems a bit busy on the front page - I wonder if it would look simpler with the ringtone, myspace stuff on one side? It seems like you need to create more 'balance' between text and image. Also, the text for the menu seems a little too close. I think the bunched up look can work, but just a little less bunched!

Another thing I just noticed: you have the ads in white boxes on the photos page, but not on the front.

Anyway, my main message would be: simplify and balance!
