My iphone 8 has started "reformatting" any webpage I visit. The original is there then that page changes with a screen starting at the top and going to the bottom leaving me with the original webpage with a different look and sometimes missing functionality. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for anyhelp

My first thought is content blocker. Have you installed something lately that functions to change the web page or remove unwanted content?

No, nothing I am aware of. I did change the screen to dark mode and the "changed" web pages are black with white letters. Just changed that back to a whiter page and that may have been this issue!

Dark/Light modes shouldn't change content, at least it hasn't here on 4 different devices. Is this happening with every website? Try reloading the web pages, sometimes layout changes at the web server can make things look odd.

well, you are right, that didnt change anything except the "reloaded" pages are white with with black letters. I go to the website, the page I am looking at seems fine and automatically, a new look page appears and I cannot get back to the original without starting all over again.

When I hit refresh, the original page shows and then immediately goes to the other look.

You could try clearing all history and website data. This may correct the problem, but it will mean you'll have to log back into some websites the next time you visit them. Try that and then visit the problematic website again.

Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data
