web surfing on the iphone is fun

Hi guys,
have you guys noticed that you use your notebook less for browsing the web while on the go? I always love surfin the web, and the iphone's safari is wonderful for that and the multitouch for browsing, gotta love it...
now i find myself whipping out the iphone for surfing more and the notebook less , of course, i still need the notebook for work tasks, but when i just need a web surf.. the iphone is wonderful,
ive played with even handheld computers like sony ux and oqo 2 and i love the surfing on the iphone so much more fun with its multitouch, when u just need to do basic web surfing - iphone is the way to go

Absolutely. When I needed some information in the past, I would have to pull out the laptop, pop in the EVDO card and go online. With the iPhone on and ready to go, I can usually get what I need to the span of a red light, rather than needing to pull off the road for a couple minutes to find what I need. It would be even worse for people who only have wifi - having to actually drive to somewhere with wifi available first. Oh the pain!

I so agree... and I LOVE the fact I can surf in a lot of places I couldn't before. Rather than picking up a stupid fashion magazine, I could read Google News and CNN this morning while waiting for a haircut

I sit at home in front of my laptop and use my iPhone for web surfing instead... It's kind of sad that a $600 device replaced a $2,000 one.

Ditto that... I find also that I'll use Google Maps on my phone, while I'm sitting in front of my computer. It makes it so easy to find places and bookmark them for easy direction when i'm in the car...

It is so useful, I don't even bring my laptop to bed now. I just surf on the iPhone, watch movies, etc. My GF still hates it, but it's better than sitting there staring at a laptop!

Ditto here...my laptop is 17" so it's a LOT easier bringing my iPhone to bed with me....my fiancee complains that I shake the bed from laughing at You Tube!

I do enjoy browsing the web on my iPhone when I am in Court and very bored.

My boss gets very annoyed though
