Hello everyone,

I have an early 2009 Mac Pro 3.46 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon (5,1) running High Sierra and I have never had a webcam for it. I do not know where to start in selecting a decent quality webcam.

I would like something which is good enough to use with iMovie as a minimum.

Can anyone make some recommendations for a High Sierra and Mac Pro compatible webcam: reasonable cost but high quality if that exists?

Thank you!???

Were you wanting a webcam to create content or for meetings? I use a Logitech C920 on my Mac Pro and it’s pretty good for meetings and I use it for OBS on occasion. I find good lighting is key for content creation and the C920 tends to capture a little dark.

Hello MacPoulet,

I mainly want it to create content for YouTube editing with iMovie. What is OBS? Yes, I have recorded video with my iPhone and plenty of natural light makes a difference.

Does the C920 capture sharp imagery? For example, if you record yourself, does your hand movement blur when played back? I want a camera that plays back similar to real life.

Thanks.
