webmailer-type app for sierra..

anyone familiar with webmailer? a system pref that would redirect an email link on a website, to open webmail (and not the apple mail app).

am setting up webmail for someone on a mac running 10.12.2; she doesn't use apple mail. this app worked on her old mac. any suggestions on how to do this? so she clicks on a link on a site, and that opens (in this case) roundcube mail in safari...

she uses roundcube, not gmail (but will check out those links, see if i can find any useful info). the mailto safari extension doesn't work (at least, not in sierra).

anyone else?
