Hii,

So, scenario sketch; I'm on vacation in China and I use a certain social networking site starting with an 'F' and ending with 'book' to keep in touch with people I meet here and friends back home. Just two days or so ago this site got blocked in China though.
The question I want to raise is the following: 'Does anyone know how to get around this type of blocking'? I don't know how they block it actually, maybe they check my IP-adres and since it's Chinese they block it?
Anyway, someone know how to deal with this? :)

Thx in advance

You will need a browser proxy at the very least. I cannot recommend any however, but there are a bunch out there. Obviously, we don't want China to either a) block MacRumors, or b) have an easy list of proxies to ban.

You are going to have to google for this (assuming Google is available in China)

Ahh okay, I see. Proxies eh? :) I'll have to do some research on that myself. But what are these risks, if I may ask? Thanks for the help guys! :)

I'd say the danger is being caught by the Chinese government... you're breaking their laws by getting around their blocks to get on FB.
