Nice site. Outstanding work! It really shows that you are a pro.

The only thing that would be nice on the site is the motion page - if you didn't have to redirect to a new page to see the clip.

I really like the site though. Simple and professional.

Very cool. Simple, bold, straight to the point.

Only a few minor quibbles:

The nav buttons are quite dark, and maybe a roll-over effect on them would help establish that they are buttons

A contact page with phone, office address and email rather than a button that goes straight to email (lends a bit of credibility/security for your potential clients, and sometimes it helps to know where you are in the world)

Some indicative pricing would help me to know whether i can afford you. A lot of people are put off or embarrassed by having to ask for prices on the first contact - some to the point of not making it.

I really liked the "splat" Quicktime and everthing on the digi-art page. The Mickey Mouse in a noose was seriously funny too. Is it personal, or just a statement about disney? :D
Not personal. The Mickey Mouse icon represents so much more then just the Disney Corp. It means so many things to me, America, Innocence, Corperate power. It also just seemed it was something youd never see as well as being really really funny, Mickey being killed. I felt it had to be done within the bounds of his universe by always having a touch of humor to it. I didnt feel it would have been effective if I had gone for gore....

your comment about the movies is right. The reason I did the links is so you wouldn't need to have all 5 clips load on one page. This way you only have one movie load per page.

As far as the rollover effect, I dont have the know how to pull that off but I agree. This is something I will need to work on.

I plan on putting all the contact info on my Bio page when I finally get to it:eek:

Im not much of a talker when it comes to my work and I usually hope the artwork speaks for itself so I have, of course, left the Bio page for last:eek:

As of right now this is just a vanity site to show off my stuff. Every company I have illustrated for pays the industry standard which of course is never enough, so Im in no rush for prices.

Thanks for the feedback and I look forward more

Well it worked, I found it quite humorous. A job well done, sir.

that's actually probably the best iWeb site I have seen, if not for the over used iWeb reflection I might have even been tricked into thinking it was made in something else.

Good job:)

Its funny that you said that. I had heard a lot of complaints about how limiting iweb was before I used it but have yet to find anything you cant do. You really need to liberate yourself from using the stock templates and always use the blank pages.

Thanks a lot for the positive reaction. Much appreciated.:)

Overall, I like the site. The homepage is very smooth. Very much like the use of the reflection effect on your billboard of work. Very smooth.

The two things I would change
1) Add a rollover effect on the navigation. I don't know the functionality of iWeb, so I won't be able to tell you how to do it. Both Fireworks & Photoshop have "button creators" - which create gif files for both the up/over/down states.

2) I'm not a big fan of the grey boxes used as dividers. It really detracts from the work since it is a change from the background. I personally don't like presenting work on anything but black, unless the work is black in nature itself (then I use a white or grey boarder on a black background). I would try to use subtle thin line dividers - maybe 200 - 300 pixels. I think that will make your work really stand out.

Good luck! Nice works.

FYI,
Just added a "swag" category where you can grab some funky free Mac OSX "Balloon Dog" icons. These are a prelude to a piece I am very close to finishing...

Hope you like:)

Alright, I made the menu bar buttons rollovers but they are not working:confused: I followed the directions in Image ready and then tested them by dropping the html file into my browser and they work. when I put the html file into iweb I only get the "normal" version of the button and the rollovers dont function. Any suggestions? I am new at this......

basic answer

i like it

i don't love the color of the dark green buttons
but that's just me

wow! your site made want to use iWeb again! when you say you used a blank template, you mean a black or white template with a blank page layout, right? also, how did you change the look of the top buttons? just change the picture files once publishing the site, or is there a way to do that in iWeb?
kudos:D

Do everything by hand and dont use templates just "Blank" pages. you can make the background color whatever you want with the settings. the header buttons are custom and linked to the proper page. turn off the header as well as the bottom header make your own buttons in photoshop and link them to the correct pages. You can do whatever you want if you put some work into it.
Still working on the rollover buttons, hopefully with some help from Mr Ram.

Like I said before, I am not a web designer and this will perhaps be the only site I do. So in a way I have shot my load on this and probably couldnt do a second one without looking very similar to the one I have posted.

Im at work now but when I get home later I will take a snapshot of the button that turns off the header. It is on the menu where you set the page dimentions and I think you need to switch it off for every page individually.
Not a bad app at all, still trying to get the rollover buttons to function.....
