Okay, I'd like some input. I'm divided on if I should really be using iWeb or not. It's just that the integration between it and some of the other iLife apps is so tempting. Not to mention it does CSS, which I have absolutely no real working experience with whatsoever.

I know Dreamweaver 8 is the ultimate tool. It's just that it's much more time consuming...

I'm just swinging back and forth between using iWeb and just putting some work into making the site less iWebby, rather than having to go back and re-learn some things.

Let me know what you all think....

Just a couple things I noticed...

1st, in your "home" page, you have buttons in the following order; Photo Gallery, Blog, Links, and Recent Work. But when you hit the sub pages, You have; Photo Gallery, Links, Recent Work, and Blog. I would keep in the same order.

2nd, your naming with the urls such as; http://www.seanmcollins.com/Personal Site/Photo Gallery.html. use all lower case and don't use spaces, use underscore instead. Do that with saving files too, because in Unix (OSX), upper case and lower case are 2 different files. It will save you alot of time trouble shooting if something doesn't work.

:)

Thanks for the input. The url naming is the one thing that drives me crazy about iWeb. Also what frustrates me is how iWeb creates a whole folder with the site inside, then a index file to point into it.....

Loads pretty slow...

One thing I noticed as well is the fact that you use that red border on the intro page, but it's not used anywhere else on the site. Try to stay consistent. It's looking like you're trying to be outrageous and hard core with the intro site, and any other page looks nice and soothing.

Wow. I never even thought of that!

Maybe using a "cooler" color and a more rounded border would look better. Thanks for the tip!

Apart from the earlier comment on naming your pages, you might want to either optimize the image on/lose altogether the initial splash page. The image is nearly 400KB in size.
