I was wondering if anyone on these forums knew of a website that allows you to see side-by-side comparisons of different Apple laptops. What I'm really interested in is comparing different benchmark scores to get an idea of a newer model would handle certain tasks when compared to my current computer.
The reason I ask is because I currently have a 2007 15" MacBook Pro C2D 2.4 Ghz, NVIDIA 8600M GT (256MB), 4 GB RAM with 250GB 5400 RPM HD and I am trying to get an idea of what kind of speed and/or processing improvements I could expect to see, if at all, when compared to the current generation MacBook Air as well as the future revisions when they are announced.
Right now, I'm just under the assumption that my nearly 4-year old computer would probably be put to shame against a current gen MBA, if for no other reason, than the SSD. I would just like to see the difference in how certain programs (MS Office, Aperture, CS5, iTunes) run in order to determine whether I could use a 13" Air as my main computer.
Thanks in advance for any help.
