Hi
I'm a student in London and hoping to sell/trade my Macbook Pro- does anyone know any places/ websites/interseted people in the UK where i could advertise my laptop? It's the higher model 15.4", but with 2GHz instead of 2.16GHz ( i bought it when it just came out). It's a fantastic computer but realise that i spent too much money and, currently in process of buying flat, so need all the funds i can get.
I'm thinking of downgrading to the low end Macbook.
It was bought from Apple store and still has receipts, box, everything, most of its warrantee remaining etc
Thanks for any advice
Jamie
PS- tried to post on Marketplace forum, but prevented me for some reason...

yes try ebay.
i sold my 17" 1.5ghz powerbook a few weeks ago on there.

i also have a few tips if you are new to ebay, as there are lots of scammers out there:
make sure you take good quality pics of your laptop with box etc.

give everything a good clean before taking the photos.

mention that you have the reciept etc.

only accept paypal if the buyer has a confirmed paypal address.

or accept bank transfer or cash on collection.

only sell to your own country on this expensive item.

only send the laptop via special delivery and pay the extra for insurance.
the postage cost will be 20 uk pounds.

Is there any point in selling your MBP? You're selling a used MBP and will get less money than the cost of a new one (but I'm sure you knew that). You'll need to pay your eBay fees for the sale, of course. Then you need to buy a MacBook, and probably more RAM as well.

You might save a few hundred quid, tops.
