With the release of iOS4.3, does anyone know of which websites are now Airplay (video + audio) compatible?

As long as it's in Safari, any webpage that has video embedded in a readable format for iPhone/iPad should be able to be used over Airplay (except encrypted ones, I should imagine).

the bbc iplayer website isn't compatible.

I tried vimeo, but it didn't work for me! Could you give me an example of a website that worked for you?

How about the videos on the first page of apple.com? Right now, there's two iPad2 videos.

:) YEAH! It works!

But why? I mean, what kind of video will it play?
Youtube.com doesn't work either (via mobile safari).

Absolutely NOT true. Each video has to be enabled with AirPlay specific code, otherwise it won't work.

I believe the websites have to add a simple bit of code to make Airplay work. Something like Airplay="Allow" is what I recall they have to add to the video. Someone please confirm because that probably isn't exactly correct.

I was under the impression that most internet video in Safari still won't work via Airplay. However, any app that has enabled Airplay under 4.3 will work. Off the top of my head, I think both the Discover Channel and Vevo apps have been updated. I would try those out first.

StreamToMe was suuposedly updated for it but I'm only getting audio.
I wonder if the StreamToMe version that was enabled for AirPlay was taken down by Apple since the developer enabled that feature before Apple said it could be done. Developers were supposed to wait on the GM candidate build of iOS before they submitted apps to support AirPlay video.

He submitted it really early so even if Apple were OK with it it probably has been broken in the meantime.

It half works in that the icon changes from a speaker to a screen but when you tap Apple TV it says "Cannot play video on "Apple TV".

I have tried numerous websites after updating software on atv2 and iPad and still no video available. Audio seems to work fine in some cases.
I thought the update was going to allow video.

Have some patience. The websites have to be updated to allow support for Airplay. Same with the 3rd party apps.

It seems getting video to play to the Apple TV from a 3GS doesn't work. I tried playing several Vimeo videos from my 3GS and got audio only....but with the iPad the video worked no problem for the same videos.

3GS = no video via airplay

iPad / iPhone 4 = video works from airplay.
