I don't know if this is an M1 problem or a Big Sur issue or even a Magic Mouse 2 problem but when I load a website (this one included) the screen content will wiggle slightly either left to right or up and down. Only a little bit and both ways.
Sometimes it makes it difficult to click on something small or thin.
I'm usually holding or touching the magic mouse when it happens but seemingly not at all times.
It settles down after I've been on the site for a short while.
Any ideas?

Able to capture this in any way? Or describe it more... not exactly sure what you mean!

Sounds like you may be touching the Magic Mouse and triggering a touch scrolling gesture.
Thanks for replying.
When a website loads, such as this one, it wobbles a bit either sideways or vertically. Just a little. That's the only way I can think of to describe it :)
But yes, I am an inexperienced Magic Mouse 2 user so I could actually be doing something. I'm currently trying to leave my digits off the top of it while I move it around :)
I've also turned off the gestures for the moment.
I can reproduce it sometimes (but not all the time) by twitching my finger while it's on top of the mouse (even though gestures are turned off) so it is more than likely it's me.

Yeah, it’s not the most ergonomic of mice IMO and it’s a shame that you have to use it to get the gestures to work properly in macOS! But you’ll probably get used to it, everyone I know who has toughed it out for a few months now swears by it for things like horizontal scrolling final cut timelines, etc!

I'll have to fine tune my technique before I turn gestures back on :D

Probably stating the obvious, but have you tried removing the Magic Mouse from the equation by disconnecting it and seeing if the issue persists.

It is an unusual one, I’ve only ever seen something similar when I had a very powerful magnet too close to my TrackPad. Though even the Lightning cable coming into contact with it when I’m charging it causes false touches, as would most electrical cables I suppose.

Not that I’m suggesting you’ve got cables touching of course, just sharing :D

Just tried that and it doesn't seem to happen with a USB mouse so it's almost definitely me :)

You have probably noticed it, but lift your hand off your mouse. I find it to be too sensitive, and it is what causes it.

This is me reproducing the sideways wobble by moving my finger lightly and slightly on the top of the magic mouse.
I can't reproduce the up and down wobble I'm afraid.
I don't know how effective it is but you should be able to see it.

I have the same issue. It's the Magic Mouse 2. I am still trying to get used to the mouse. Not the most comfortable mouse.

Yes it definitely is user error :)
While many people would call it 'a user error', I must call it a webkit bug. Both safari and chrome suffer from it. Firefox does not. For users (and web developers), there are rare chances and no needs the webpage to wobble, as there isn't a horizontal scroller, even hidden by OS. So, it is a UX misbehaviour. Too sad the things just not work.
