Hi guys,

My girlfriend has decided we must have a cat but the very idea of leaving it alone while we go to work fills her with fear.

So I've suggested we get her macbook and set it up as a web cam on one of my servers so she/we can check up on him.

But I'm not sure what web cam software would be best and is there any web cam software which would allow us to connect and talk to the cat via microphone?

You could try skype, it would allow you to video conference with the cat while you are away from the house and it is free

Skype, Yahoo messenger, Google video, iChat all have A/V capability.
