I have this program installed, as well as the CIA Factbook and English Etymology plugins...I can't get a single result for anything. Anyone else have this problem or am I doing something wrong?

Are you getting results from a "normal" dictionary? Try this:
Go into WeDict, search for something, anything (just to lower the keyboard). Click the "i" icon at the bottom right. Under "Local Dictionaries", it shows all the downloaded dictionaries. Make sure the ones you want have a checkmark beside them.
