Weekly Contest September 21-28 2015 - WET

I'll keep it simple this time around as I have a tendency to create themes that are a bit abstract. So in honour of my winning picture this time out this weeks theme is "Wet"

Pretty simple really, but pictures of rivers, lakes or the sea will disappoint me and likely not win. Be creative and show me your best soggy pictures.

Rules:

Be creative and have fun.

You may only submit one photo per contest.

Please do not comment on photos until after the judging has taken place.

The contest runs for exactly one week, starting NOW! (see time/date stamp at the start of this thread.)

At the end of the week, The Judge (last week's Winner) will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible. (Judge has 24 hours to make decision.)

The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).

How very apt, I thought, when I read the theme as it was pouring with rain outside. No problem! Before I could get out though, the rain stopped, everything dried up and the weather's been lovely ever since. Here, then, is one I did earlier …

Ok folks time's up. Here's the results:

Tom - Very naughty entry and I interpretation. I love it

Alex - Lovely warm tones. Nice job.

AFB - I'm tempted to dock you internet points for posting a picture of a spider that isn't on fire as I'm terrified of them. It's a really good shot though. Nicely done.

Alex - Lovely macro shot. You know I'm a sucker for B&W macros. Good job fella.

CE3 - Great candid shot with lovely expressions.

The Bad Guy - You keep banging out these awesome portraits mate. Another cracker. Looks kind of sinister almost.

Indydenny - Took me a while to figure out what it was - Nice action shot.

JDDavis - Great framing. Really nice shot.

Hugh - I loved this the first time I saw it. So clean and fresh looking.

Deep Diver - Looks like a tranquil spot. Didn't really do anything for me though I'm afraid.

Miltz - A beaut! I love a B&W and the tones are lovely. Really nice job.

Ish - Nice framing again and I love the reflections.

Sorry I didn't provide in depth critique but I've had a bitch of a day today and I just want to curl up with a glass of wine with Mrs MacRy.

Agreed! Really liked the shots by @Miltz this week as well as yours @Apple fanboy! Haha, thanks, I was just being cheeky and also wanted to put a bit of a different perspective on this week's theme - thought some of you might like it!

Good job MacRy and thanks for the 2nd place nod. That was my first attempt at taking pictures in the water. I've seen others amazing surfing images and of breaking waves and thought that would be fun. It's a ton tougher than it looks.
