For this weeks round, I'm going with 'Cultural Diversity in your home town.' Express it however you feel like doing that in a photographic fashion. Good luck all!

The rules are as per normal:

· The photographs must be your own work.

· Be creative and have fun.

· You may only submit one photo per contest.

· Please do not comment on photos until after the judging has taken place.

· The contest runs for one week, starting NOW!

· At the end of the week, The Judge (last week's Winner) will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.

· If the Judge is unable to complete the selection within 48 hours of the deadline for close, then a vote will be carried out to select a winner. This will be based on the number of "likes" each image has. In the event of a draw, the second place winner from the previous week will choose the tiebreaker.

· The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).

· Winners please update the Weekly Photo Contest Master thread

Not sure if this goes with your theme this week but can’t beat Camden market to demonstrate cultural diversity. Love it out there.

Okay kind of breaking the rules as its not my home town!
What I liked about this shot was the young couple very much happy to express there affection for one another.
Then the older couple behind the window. Sitting apart. His gaze on the younger couple made me kind of feel he was remembering those times in his youth...

Okay folks, the day got away from me, sorry for that. I'll be back as quickly as I can with comments and the ever hard to do judging.

If I ever make it to the UK, this is a spot I want to check out. I like all the people in this image, but would have loved to actually see the diversity of stalls, all I get from this one is a couple of fellas checking out their next possible crossdressing outfits! I jest! But I do have to wonder about the fella walking out of frame with the giant staff in hand...

As I said before, Nathan, you get brownie points for having a political statement going on here! Cool POV here from down low like that and the focus is exactly where it needs to be, on the sign. I can still make out all the folks up on the bridge and those on the roadside cheering on whatever the procession was here.

Have to love this fellas enthusiasm and cheerful mug! A cool human observation and interaction. Was he busking?

For 75 years, Di Bruno Brothers has been part of the heart of Philadelphia's Italian Market.

We have a markets that's in the city here and there's some old stalwarts there too! A good in action capture, highlighting some energy in motion. Love all the cheeses out on display, but none of it's refrigerated!

In my town, this is a staple area. Fisherman's Wharf - SF

I love the fishmongers section at the markets in town here, you have a real melting pot of nationalities there to get the days catch! Seems food is the one true international language! I like your POV here and the way it's stretched the perspective of the display case.

If I couldn't just make out a smile on her face, I would have thought that was a pretty deep conversation going on there! I see that the drinks were already flowing! A nice intimate interaction captured there and a cool POV with the lines of the blinds drawing your eye into the scene.

So that's what Al Gore gets up to on his days off! He sure looks like him! A wonderful real-life moment that would leave the average viewer scratching their head wondering what it was all about. Was this at a protest of some sort Adam? I gather it was in Australia with the traffic being on the left hand side of the road.

Struggling myself. No political/social/moral comment from me - just a photo.

I love the insinuation of how little power the individual has in the way you have framed this up, Ken. The enormity of the system behind this lone voice in the wilderness and the use of selective colour with the establishment having no emotion through its representation in mono. Very effective and powerful in its own way!

Indian High School orchestra joining forces with a local youth orchestra.
Love it! The mashing together of two cultures in an artistic exploration and expression. I bet all of the participants had a ball with this unique event!

Burning Man is notorious for its explorations of cultural diversity! You must have a ball going off to this every year! It would be a real feast for the senses.

Aah, young love! I remember it well, well through a dreamy haze... ;) I like the contrasts you mentioned, AFB.

Yep, there's culture in sidewalk chess battles too! Something I'd never seen before. Love the decorations above, hanging off the lamp-post, and the pensive moment you captured with the fella on the lefts hand poised to move like that.

So, on to my decision for this week. Based scientifically on my gut reactions to the images!

Over to you @anotherscotsman for the next round!
