Good evening !

This weeks challenge will be about an other element : The effect of AIR (like in wind, breeze, glide, fan, plane, sail boat, bubble …. )

Blow me away !

The usual rules apply:

· The photographs must be your own work.

· Be creative and have fun.

· You may only submit one photo per contest.

· Please do not comment on photos until after the judging has taken place.

· The contest runs for a week and starts now!

· At the end of the week, last week’s winner will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.

· If he is unable to complete the selection within 48 hours of the deadline for close, then a vote will be carried out to select a winner. This will be based on the number of "likes" each image has. In the event of a draw, the second place winner from the previous week will choose the tiebreaker.

· The 1st place winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).

· Please update the Weekly Contest Master List when you post a new contest

Ok, this contest is now closed. I will be back in a short time with comments and the names of the winners. Thank you for all those original ideas...
[doublepost=1555802919][/doublepost]Some amazing pictures. Maybe a slightly difficult theme, as air is invisible and can be seen only by its action on something visible. Still, some interesting narratives…
(Sorry for not always using the right words. Intent is positive…;)

Deep diver - great colours and light. I like the idea : air blown through the open keys of the saxophone plays the air of the sheet music seen in the reflection on the keys.

Tizeye - Sunrise high in the air. Beautiful colours and suggestions of travel and multiple cultures below.

MacDonaldTrump - Smart and original illustration of blowing air moving particles and jumping in the air defying gravity.

Inkmich - Like the minimalistic picture, nicely framed. Air lifts the plane, and, in the meantime, the absence of movement of the air lets the vapour trail straight… sky high.

Donka - Invisible air lifts the plane and moves the flag.

Darmok N Jalad - A nice picture of a gliding bird of prey. The blue background evokes calm and the extended wings lead the eyes to the sharp beak.

Hughmac - Good idea to make air visible in water. And beautiful colours !

Needfx - Great action picture. Love the well-timed composition and colour contrast. Good use of depth of field ads to the perception of movement.

Janichsan - Water droplets make air visible. The contrast in the black and white picture gives a feeling of strong air action up there, in the clouds.

Apple fanboy - Cool and airy movement. An abstract picture.

Lee_Bo - Nice colours. And contrast between the plane in the air and the apparent heaviness of the mountains behind.

Oblomow - Interesting idea. Made me laugh. Sacred music with airbed pumps. Even in a cluttered environment the image is nicely composed. Could have been cropped a little at the top.

Never easy to pick ONE winner. Nevertheless, Deep diver’s picture is the one which told me the best story. The composition is excellent, in my eyes, as well as contrast and colour rendition. The three green dots make a difference…

Closely second… that’s difficult : I would say MacDonaldTrump and needfx, for the capture of body movement in the air.

All others are very good pictures which show the photographer’s point of view on air.

I wish you all a happy, peaceful and picturesque (?) Easter holiday !

Thanks, I think. We need a new rule that someone cannot win within 3 months of their previous win.

I think MacDonald had the winning imagine.

This is a very low-tech set up. I threw a black cloth over a lawn chair in my yard and taped the sheet music to the opposite arm. If you look at the inside curve you can see the green of my neighbor's yard.

I have an idea for the next one. I want to think about it a little more to make sure I won't have too much remorse.

Congratulations Deep Diver. What really stood out for me was the reflection of the music. Well thought out. On shiny surfaces, reflections - particularly yourself - is always a challenge, but to mask it with an intended reflection was great.

Well done on the win. I think we don’t get enough entrants to limit how often people can win. Especially some weeks.

Nice feedback and critique for everyone. I really struggled for an idea for this one. Well done.
