Welcome to this week's photo contest thread!

Theme: Enjoying Life

Use your imagery to show the best things life has to offer us.

Rules:
1. Please submit only one photo per contest.

2. Please do not comment on photos until after the judging has taken place.

3. The contest runs until 1700 PDT July 11th 2014.

4. At the end of the week, The Judge (last week's Winner) will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible. (Judge has 24 hours to make decision)

5. The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme)

I missed that contest. I can change the topic.

My first instinct was to do a creative/artistic topic and I have a few in mind, but those haven't gone over well so I thought mine would be nice light fun.

Yeah they've fallen a bit flat unfortunately haven't they. I've tried the same but haven't had a good response. Yours was a good idea but I'd hate for people not to enter because they'd already done one similar.

We had a bit of a language barrier to deal with, but what I could understand was about the Brazilian soccer team. I'd say he was enjoying life!

I normally like to convert street images to black and white, but I really like how lively the color is in this photograph.

We went to see the Romantics at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Va. I purposely framed and waited on the ride in the top right to give a sense of location.

Thanks for your submissions, there are a lot of amazing pictures. I knew after I saw the first few I was going to have a hard time judging this.

CharlieBrandt09: I love the location, these father-son memories can last a lifetime.

bwhli: Beautiful colors and the fireworks add just the right touch.

AlexH: The picture really shows the connection you made despite the language barrier. Was that at this year's world cup?

uvafan1: Great angle. The ride does enhance the image. I hope you enjoyed the concert.

DirtySocks85: You really captured his sense of wonder.

soulreaver99: Beautiful vacation shot. They are definitely enjoying life.

Ardmanz: Great group shot, looks like it was a fun weekend.

jkramerbob: That's a gorgeous dramatic shot. The boat turns a good picture into an amazing picture.

Chappers: Kids really remind you how full of wonder the world can be.

Ish: You captured a lot of feeling in this shot and it is a great contrast with the one above it.

dmrowley: Great job on the sky. I'm curious if the left corner is darker because it was shot with a wide angle lens and polarizing filter?

tannerpp: That picture makes me want to go rafting this weekend. Were they going over the rock or actually stuck on it?

Hughmac: That looks like a fun shot. Dogs are a blast.
