For this week, I want to see an Shot on iPhone image. :) Don't worry, you can use any phone that you have, but you must use a phone! No "real" cameras." However, you may post process the image in anyway you want. I rarely ever use my phone for photos, but I've been really inspired lately by a friend on another board who is doing an entire P365 on her phone (a Galaxy) and some of the images she is creating are amazing.

This was taken on my iPhone 8+ and processed in LR mobile.

The usual rules apply:

· The photographs must be your own work.

· Be creative and have fun.

· You may only submit one photo per contest.

· Please do not comment on photos until after the judging has taken place.

· The contest runs for a week and starts now!

· At the end of the week, The Judge (last week's Winner) will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.

· If the Judge is unable to complete the selection within 48 hours of the deadline for close, then a vote will be carried out to select a winner. This will be based on the number of "likes" each image has. In the event of a draw, the second place winner from the previous week will choose the tiebreaker.

· The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).

· Please update the Weekly Photo Contest Master List when you post a new contest.

This is my type of topic. Especially since I’ve sold my real camera now to stick to my iPhone for photography. @mollyc are you on Instagram?!

I also partially got this idea from the recent competition Apple did, and it was discussed on another forum here, and many people were irate that submissions were edited. Which is why I specified that allowance for our challenge. :)

I feel that type of criticism is pointless. Part of photography is editing IMHO. Yes, if editing makes the pictures look horrible then by all means constructive criticism helps.

I bought my iPhone 7 Plus when it has been introduced into the market and since then I decided to take pictures only using my phone, calling myself iphoneographer.

Over this 2+ years I have made a lot of good pictures and some of them are really special for me, so the “shot on iPhone is definitely my contest!

This has been shot today in a very special place full of inspiration called “La Mer” in Dubai.

Picture shot and edited with Pro Camera.
