Weekly Photo Contest March 2 - March 8 | In my office

This week's theme is In my office. As we all have been stuck for some time in our home offices, show us what you can find in your office to make you work more pleasant/fun.

Please remember that these standard rules apply:

• Do not comment, vote, react or click “like” on images prior to the winners being announced. In keeping with our most recent tradition, violators may be awarded first place. Henceforth this shall be known as the Molly-ing rule in honour of our friend and fellow perpetrator.
• The photographs must be your own work.
• This contest runs for one week. If in doubt, please check the title or description.
• At the end of the week, The Judge will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.
• If the Judge is unable to complete the selection within 48 hours of the deadline, then last week's 2nd place has to step in. 3rd place takes over should 2nd place be similarly unable to officiate.
• The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create a new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).
• Be sure to update the Contest Master List as soon as you post a new theme.
• Contest ends on March 8th at 20.00 CET.

During the entire covid crisis I only had to work 1 week from home. The remaining time I was at the office. My daily source of joy is a pair of oystercatchers outside my office window. They arrive in february(jay!!), make lots of noise, build a nest, lay eggs, fight of the crows and magpies, feed their young and teaching them how to build (= jump of the roof).

Not many entries this week so here are my thoughts/comments and my try to be a bit funny.

@Hughmac - those stiches on loafers are pretty sharp, well executed photo. Bit too much distractions in the background but the story image is telling is very clear.

@stillcrazyman - very nice office, I'd love to work there. There would be probably about thousand things more on the in my case, organised chaos I call it. Great image.

@Fravin - if this is your office then I envy you, the outside beats indoor office anytime. Very nice image, like the greens and violet?/purple? combination. It's probably burgundy, but as the saying goes: Men are like basic Windows, they recognise 16 basic colours.

@oblomow - it's always good to have something to looking forward to when you go to office. Those little chicks blend perfectly to the background.

@TheYayAreaLiving ? - the idea of contest was about what makes your office nice/fun/joy but yes, there are people who make our work, well, not fun.

Since I am retired and no longer working, I don't really have an office, and my space at home that I use for the computer setup and where I spend time also processing images was messy and I didn't get around to cleaning things up in order to shoot a photo! LOL!

Congratulations to Stillcrazyman -- you have a beautiful office! -- and the others on this week's podium!

My office is currently in an unfinished section of the basement, and my “normal” office at work is being remodeled. Rumor has it that my office has a bunch of office chairs stored in it while they lay carpet tiles. Not entirely attractive and photo worthy!
