Hello and welcome to this weeks contest.

Going with the theme from last week, this contest will be based on “Tools Of Your Trade”
I realize not everyone has to go out to work. Some are retired. Some are fortunate to not ‘have’ to work. For those folk, what tools do you use for your passions, hobbies, or other creative outlets.

I service and maintain over 7500 computers in my region of a local school district. My tools consist of basic hand tools and a growing set of software systems to diagnose, repair and maintain all the devices I am responsible for. So, screwdrivers and my laptop - tools of my trade.

Do not comment, vote, react or click "like" on images prior to the winners being announced.
  • The photographs must be your own work.
  • You may only submit one photo per contest.
  • This contest runs for one week. If in doubt, check the dates in the title.
  • At the end of the week, The Judge will choose a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photo, providing as much feedback as possible.
  • If the Judge is unable to complete the selection within 48 hours of the deadline, then last week's 2nd place has to step in. 3rd place takes over should 2nd place be similarly unable to officiate.
  • The 1st place Winner will start a new thread with the topic/theme of their choice, and act as the Judge for that contest. (Winner has 48 hours to create a new theme, after that it defers to 2nd place).
  • Be sure to update the Contest Master List as soon as you post a new theme.
  • Contest ends at 6:00pm 3.16.2022, US Eastern Time (Midnight GMT).

During my 40 year career one of my most recent roles was to use this X-ray machine to scan shipping containers for contraband. It was very effective and allowed us to examine far more containers and in greater detail than by just opening the doors and peaking inside before making any decisions to look more deeply.

Well then, here are my reviews and choices of this weeks submissions.

@OldMacs4Me - Thanks for being the first to contribute. That is not a job I miss at all. My back hurts just thinking about it.

@Hughmac - I’ve seen this posted by you before. Very interesting application of technology. The monochrome gives it a little nefarious feeling.

@thirsty_monk - Nice and simple. Light and dark.

@oblomow - Odd bit with a large print of a headstone on the wall. Good shot though.

@mollyc - But of course. Very nice imagery.

@Darmok N Jalad - Great focal point.

@triptolemus - Great point of view.

I'm not the best to be a 'judge' of other folks work. So, here are my choices for this week.

Third Place - @triptolemus
Second Place - @mollyc
First Place - @thirsty_monk

Congratulations to all that participated.
