So when you go to take a picture there's a thumbnail of your most recent picture in the bottom left. But when I have a picture that I took that I don't like and I delete it, its thumbnail remains, and this thumbnail will stay there until I take another picture with the camera.

Ex:

The picture shown on the bottom left is deleted, but the thumbnail remains until a new picture is taken. Any ideas?

Edit: Running iOS5 on an iPhone4S.

Tested on iOS 5 on an iPhone 4 - same thing, weird, I never noticed that before.

Tested on a 3GS with iOS 5. Same result to the OP. The funny thing is the last image taken is displayed even if you empty the Photo Album. Clearly this is a bug based on the following.

Tested on an iPod touch with iOS 4.3.5, the icon updates to the last photo in the Photos Album. Same for video, in that it shows a frame from the video.

This is weird, but why does it bother you? If the tiny thumbnail is something incriminating, just take another picture....cover the lens if you want and it will be black.

Clearly this is a feature. If you mistakenly delete the last picture that you took you can recompose the image again from the thumbnail. Now, doesn't that make sense?

He didn't say it was bothering him, he's just pointing out a bug.
