iPhone 14 Pro Max Weird Dynamic Island Outline Behavior

This is weird and I just noticed it last night so I am not sure if this is an new issue with 16.1.2 but I don't remember seeing it prior.

Check out the video I captured of it. When you press the power button and the phone unlocks and then you lock it again, the outline of the dynamic island is cut off at the one side and then it pops to to a singly larger size like its correcting itself.

Anyone else verify this?

Mine does this too when locking the phone. It initially bugged me but I’ve been seeing lots of bugs popping up with the current build of iOS16. I’m hoping 16.2 fixes some these weird issues

I am experiencing the same behavior. I thought this was an animation that was supposed to happen on the Lock Screen lol.

Yeah I’m thinking this is a software issue not hardware. Honestly this combination of 14 pro hardware and iOS 16 has been the most buggy I’ve had and I upgrade every year. Kinda looking forward to selling this one next fall.

I agree with you there, this whole experience has been buggy and felt half baked. As much as I like the dynamic island the phone and software feel off. Like you I’m looking forward to the next phone and OS.

This is now fixed for me in 16.2. Now it would be nice if Wifi stopped disconnecting daily in the background....
