I have music module files of various formats, and I am encountering a strange file association error on OS X 10.11.4.

I want XM and IT modules associated with VLC.
I want MOD and S3M modules associated with Audio Overload.

There are more which I mostly want associated with Audio Overload, but associated with VLC if it's a format Audio Overload doesn't understand, like the ones already listed as me wanting associated with VLC.

For some strange reason, as an example, each time I try to change associations for XM, MOD will also be affected.

I thought file associations functioned based off the extension, but this is just WTF?!
How do I get the associations to work how they are supposed to?!

I haven't tried it in El Cap, but it definitely works in Mavericks so there's some hope...

Also, I have tried to reset the LaunchServices database, but it only seemed to make the problem worse.
