Hi everyone, has anyone else got a weird glitch that when youre viewing a photo youve just taken, so viewieng a photo from the camera preview, a weird kind of black square comes from the bottom right hand of the screen to about halfway then dissapears back into the corner? Using a 16PM and I can replicate it everytime. It doesnt show up on screenshots though!! Cheers

Edit: added a video of what I mean

I hope they fix it soon! Did you report it to Apple via Feedback Assistant? I couldn't report it yet as I didn't manage to capture a recording of it so far.

I have submitted feedback but they dont let you attach a video to it so it will probably fall on deaf ears!

Upstate NY . Was FL.
When taking a photo not all in ultra wide mode close up then going onto the gallery and pinching to zoom does this to my photos. First two are the same photo .

Does not do it on mine, I’ve just tested it.

However, I don’t use dark mode, I wonder if that has any bearing on it?

Try turning off dark mode and see if it still does it

Jason
Yep. It doesn’t do it on all of my photos. Just the ones taken today weird stuff. Turned dark mode on and tint off etc closed photo app and tried. Same photos pinching in results in that square area of heavy saturation in color. So as I pinch back out and swipe up the photo reverts back to its original state.

Lol count me in... 14 Pro Max. For what it’s worth, the original pic wasn’t taken on a phone running iOS 18

OK but wait, we are now discussing 2 separate issues in this thread. What the OP posted is what I'm experiencing too and I just reported it to Apple.

But I can't seem to reproduce this other thing here. Does it always happen? Or only sometimes?

No. It doesn’t always happen. Was trying to find a common denominator but to no avail. It’s occurring in gallery when I pinch to zoom in a photo that was taken in ultra wide but not all photos in ultra wide do this.
