Ran into a weird issue with Handbrake last night that I didn't know if anyone had seen. After a couple of days of ripping movies without issue. I then downloaded Thor from iTunes from a code on the DVD. No problems there, although I would have preferred to rip it as well.

After I did that, I went back to ripping and tagging movies, but after checking on a few I noticed that they were coming through with blank screens and no audio tracks. I deleted Handbrake and reinstalled it and that seemed to resolve the situation, but that was the first time I'd ever seen that happen. Anyone else run into something like that.

FYI, this was on a 2011 2.0 gHz MBP running Lion.

Actually, that's a interesting point. I've been using MetaX for my tagging.

I did some troubleshooting on this last night and something interesting happened. After I ripped a DVD I imported it untagged into iTunes and everything was fine. It played the video fine and the audio had no issues. After I tagged it, and reimported it into iTunes, then I got the blank screen and no audio issue again.

Now, all of this has over the top of this, that even though this is a new machine, I imported all my info over from a 3-year old iMac and I've had some issues with a few other programs, so what I may try to do is delete MetaX and reinstall it and see if that takes care of the issue or not.
