weird hidden app on my iPhone. seeking for help and information.

hi people

so, I'm using a great app called Battery Doctor (this one:

this is no advertisement. just wanted to let you know which app I'm talking about)

anyway -
in this app there is a tab called "more", and in it, another tab called "dischargeRank", there I can see list of application and processes and eneregry consumption accordingly.

well, one of these apps on the list is an app I've never installed and I also don't see it anywhere on my iPhone. the app name is in Chinese...

attached is the mystery app how it appears in the list (it's the one at the bottom. yellow)

I downloaded it and let it run. The interesting thing is that some of the apps show up with their names in Chinese (Doodle Jump being one). I guess if the app supports multi-languages it picks Chinese. Oddly was that Doodle Jump showed up twice, once for English and once for Chinese.

I had the same problem

I downloaded battery doctor, and I saw the same mysterious app, and panicked, thinking it was a virus.

Now after seeing your post, I think that the "mysterious hidden app" doesn't exist - just because it is shown in the display, doesn't mean it exists. I checked my itunes, I did a restore, I turned on/off phone, I installed another app that shows processes....nothing. The only evidence of this app is from within the battery doctor app. What are the odds that both you and I have the same, mysterious, virus/hidden app? I bet none. I bet that the "battery doctor" app shows this, either some legacy of testing (maybe its hard coded in the app), or this "hidden" app is the battery doctor itself.

[doublepost=1453747360][/doublepost]I have the same thing with Battery Doctor, but a slightly different Chinese app name. I did a Google translate and it came back with School Party - Love News.
I've also noticed in Settings, General, Storage, Manage Storage, 2 apps showing no icons with no data, but one is 22.7mb and the other 7.3mb. I click Delete App, but once I refresh the view they come back. Baffled.

Probably something the NSA required Apple to install on our phones...

I'm guessing in the next update of this Battery Doctor app, you won't see it anymore.
