Hi guys,

I just noticed this weird "home" thing that wasn't there before and I'm wondering what it is. Does anyone has an idea?

It’s a shortcut (alias) to “Home”. Eight click on it and choose “Show Original” to see what it points to. Someone (or some app) created it, perhaps accidentally. It doesn’t belong there. You can delete it.

It’s a shortcut that leads to nowhere and it cannot be deleted, I always have the error message that it’s required by macOS.

I have it also - not sure what it does and it is in tags too

I am wondering if it might have something to do with Home applications like in iOS?

Don't worry about it, in Mojave Home was hidden.

Probably some apps/services need it and Apple put an alias in Catalina.
