Hello all,

I've purchased a new MacBook Air 2020 model a few months ago. Not too long ago I noticed an orange circle icon behind the applications icon on my dock. Not sure what it means or what it does. It doesn't have any noticeable effects on performance or anything, just curious if anyone else has experienced this or know what its from.

Thanks in advance!

Right click on it. You will see that Display as Stack is selected. If you click Display as Folder, the Dock icon will change.

The blue and white icon you see is for the App Store. The orange one behind it is the next thing, alphabetically, in your Applications Folder. You will see, when you change it to Display as folder, that the Applications icon is slightly different from the App Store icon.

I see now. Thanks for that!
