iPhone Weird iPhone 5 crash 7.1.2?

I have been having strange problems with my device lately. Whenever I play a song through 'music' and leave it alone, the screen goes dark. Normal, since the iPhone is automatically locking itself after 1-2 minutes. But then thats where the problem arises. Once it locks (while a song is playing), I can't turn it back on. I tried spamming the home button, the lock button, and the only solution I found was to hold the lock + power button together to shut down my device, then turn it back on.

This began happening after jailbreaking my phone.
