I have a weird issue, which has came about admittedly because of my ability to kill keyboards.

I have a 2017 imac, and had the magic keyboard for that, but i dropped it one day and broke a letter.
Due to my 2010 mac mini and 2011 imac, both deceased, i have two old dusty Apple Wireless Keyboards.

I was using one of them fine, but it was so dirty, that i took a general kitchen cleaner spray and sprayed it over the keys, wiped it clean and was so happy with my new gleaming keyboard. till i turned it on and it fires random letters and commands, guess the cleaning spray got under the keys. I have assumed it is also now deceased.

No issue, i have another one, and i wont clean it......

so i get batteries in it, and well, it works perfectly except one thing. The O key works fine, because i press it and i get o. If i press the caps lock and press it i get O. So far so good. The shift key and any other letter capitalises it, so clearly separately the O key and the shift key work.

But not together. Shift+o does nothing.

That seems like a reasonable workaround. Are you asking if there are other workarounds or fixes?

im asking if anyone knows what’s wrong because apart from it being annoying I’m confused as how it can happen. How can both keys work fine individually and not together.

making it weirder it’s definitely a hardware thing as it happens in bootcamp too.
