I seem to be having an issue with my mac recently... Sometimes when I try to type, the mac beeps rudely at me and no text shows up. The only way I have found to solve this is to click off to another text field and then click back to the one I was on. I have found that this issue is only caused*when I use the mouse to navigate in a line of text or to another text box. When I use the arrow keys and tab to navigate text fields, no beeping occurs. Any idea what could be causing this? It is quite annoying to me!

maybe that discussion helps as i suspect you are hiding "rapidowrite" or how its called now "presto"

a app called "plainview" also made keyboards beep , but should be solved with the update of that app

so as two can make the keyboard beep ....others might too , easy to find out which ones could make the mac beep when you press a key if you eliminate the ones you installed at the time when it started beeping or altered prefs of apps when it started
