I hope someone can offer an idea on this.
I am in the UK and have the old iphone and use Edge network as I am not in a wifi zone.
I use iphone a lot, mainly to browse the web and it worked fine last night.
However today everything still works with the exception of Google advanced.
It brings up the keyboard but when I type although the letters click, nothing appears on the screen.
If I type something like say iphone and then click search it takes me to the Google mobile search facility. It lets me type words into the search field there, likewise it lets me type words into the Google classic basic search.
All other sites seems to work including Yahoo advanced.
If I click on any web link, that works and if I try to sign into any message boards that works also.
All other functions work such as phone email and all other web browsing.
I have reset it and cleared the history. Also reset network settings.
I phoned Apple help and they said it was probably the Google page itself but it works on my PC.
If anyone else in the UK reads this and they are using Edge I wouold be interested to hear if they are having the same problem.
By the way I have tried the same search on Google advanced Ireland and Google advanced.com (normally use Google.advanced.co.uk) and none of them work either.

I'm in the U.S. and just found the same problem today. I'm also using a 1st gen. phone and Edge. I have the same issue when on wi-fi, however. Tried rebooting, clearing cache/history/cookies but nothing brings back the ability to type in the google advanced search fields.

Anyone else having this problem?

Yes, I have the exact same result when I try. I have seen it with one other text field as well, though I don't remember where.

I imagine it's Safari rendering the page incorrectly with a zero length field or something like that. I see the field does not have a maxlength specified for it in the html.

Thank heavens I am not the only one.

After my first post I started looking at the Safari settings and discovered that if I turned off javascript I could then type into the fields. That continued for the rest of the day and then yesterday morning I turned javascript back on to see what happened and I COULD then type.

Have just checked now and it is still working (dont want to tempt fate)
