So here it goes. I connected a new monitor with the mini-DVI to VGA adapter. I was like yay it works, draging videos on one monitor and internet on the main one (iMac). But hold on. Im using bootcamp so I thought I would give it a try there aswell (Windows XP) , as in Mac OS :apple: it worked. Didn't work as I expected, my monitor has "no signal". But everything is configured well, as I can drag my mouse over to the black screen (mouse vanishes from main monitor). What could the problem be?

PS: Yes everything is connected as it should be (I've seen people answering something like that before...)

Did you go into display settings in XP?

Well, of course. About the i can move my mouse to the left where my 2nd monitor is part... yeah that's the display setting. Gone through all that already. Just... "no signal". (Thx for the fast reply though.)

try this..

click the advanced button in display settings and go to the monitor tab, there are about 4 options in there that can be turned on or off. I had to try heaps of combinations to get it to work.

Yeah, I tried that, too and I also updated the drivers in case it was because of this. I also extended the desktop but it seems as once I put the imac on bootcamp the graphics card shuts off the dvi signal, as I've already tried using another older lcd display but it doesn't work with neither.
