Hey everyone,
I have encountered a weird kind of problem with my new AirPods Pro 2nd Gen that I couldn't seem to find on the forum yet.

It's not a big problem or issue as I see it but maybe it's hinting that something is wrong? I don't know and that's why I am asking here.

The AirPods charge in their case just fine however in the FindMy app they are always being displayed as "not in case" which I find weird. Also I can only see the charge of the case when the case is open in the AirPods are still in it. Shouldn't I be able to see the current charge at all times? Or am I wrong here?

Again, please excuse if this is not an issue at all and I am wrong about anything I've written. I am fairly new to apple products and a bit out of my depths here. Also English is my second language so please excuse any errors I have made.

Thanks for your kind answers!

I think you're wrong. The case itself doesn't have bluetooth so it can't communicate its charge state to your devices.

The case itself has an Ultra Wideband chip and can definitely communicate its charge state and precise location without requiring the AirPods (like previous models). Perhaps try unpairing and removing them from your bluetooth devices, then resetting the AirPods.

I have the same issue.

The UWB chip doesn't communicate that way. From Apple's documents, "The charge for your case appears only when at least one AirPod is in the case."

Apologies; you're right. The case location can be tracked separately and I misremembered that it could communicate its charge too.
