Everytime I use one of the arrow cursor keys my safari unexpectablly quits. It only happens on safari. A lot of commands dont work with my safari either, such as command+V to paste.
I have no idea whats wrong but cant think of anything to do

also this just started happenning after i installed new ram, but the ram is from my friends and it worked fine on his. I reinstalled safari and it still happens.

The obvious workaround is to remove the new RAM. However, are your computer and your friend's computer the same model? If they are not, then you cannot expect them to exchange RAM without consequences. If you want to add new RAM to your computer, you need to follow the guide found in the catalog or on the web site of any RAM vendor that caters to Macs.

Dumb question, but do you see the problem if you remove the RAM? If not, there's your answer. If so, do you have AppleCare? This would be a good question for them.

i took out the ram and the problem still happens, i was just stating that it was the last thing i did to the computer. Also i noticed that none of the command + key options work such as closing a window or quitting the program. But this is only for safari, any other suggestions?

Have you tried deleting the prefs for Safari, or at least (better idea) moving them out of [home]->Library->Preferences to check the behavior afterward?

BTW, which OS? Panther or Jaguar?

And did you fetch Safari from Apple or a CD?

I ahd goofy stuff going down with my Safari as well. I called applecare, did disk permission then a 'disk' diagnostic, nothing worked. Removed Plist, did it all. Got so pissed I did a reinstall of OS. Things are sweet and I noticed that things work even better with the combo instal of 10.3.4 (?). Sorry but that is what I did. good luck

I tried moving them out and still the problem occurs. i got safari from apple not a cd. I have 10.2.8, do u think panther or jaguar would rid me of this problem?
