So when I wake my MBP SR from sleep, the screen turns really bright, then dies down just a little bit. Seems like the colors are a little more dull..

I tired putting the brightness up all the way and no cigar... Is this a warm-up time issue or what?

Thanks

Mine does this as well. My best guess is that there is a slight delay before your ColorSync profile gets reapplied after awakening from sleep. What you see during this time is a display with no color or gamma correction.

Ahh that could be it..
any other ideas?

ambient light sensor. if your room is dark, the screen will go darker. but like yours, mine usually goes to as high as i have it set to, and then back down to whatever it thinks is best.

just my guess. i've only had mine for a few days.
