Hello,

The weirdest thing just happened to me and I would like to know how to fix it or get around it. I left my airpods inside my house for a moment. When I come back and put them on music started playing. My phone had no apps open and nothing in the lock screen with a player. I couldn't find the way to stop the music. I had to shut off the phone and turn it on again.. How can I get around this when it happens again?.. thanks

do you have other apple devices? it's possible they auto-connected to one of those. Rebooting your phone would probably have forced them to reconnect to the phone. if it happens again, you could look to see if the phone had an airplay or airpod icon in the control center now playing widget.
did the music stop when your phone turned off, or when it came back on?

to stop any playback, you can also squeeze the stem (or the appropriate gesture for your model of AirPods), or said "hey siri, stop"
