My WiFi works fine at work - to an apple router or to a linksys router which then connects up to the company router. Authentication to WPA2-Enterprise AD works fine. Everything is as it should be.

When I take it home in the evening, it will not connect to my home networks. I have removed all WiFi networks from the settings and let it rediscover it, I have reset my apple airport extreme (latest) router, I have reset my Airport Express router (latest) etc. Removed double NAT issues etc. by making one router work in bridged mode for IP address allocation. No dice.

It simply does not want to work.

DNS seems to work - names get resolved. But it would not connect to that address. VPN connection to my workplace network works fine. All hosts on the other side of the tunnel work fine. But not any outside sites (since they are routed through the default network).

I can do anything to the routers at home. Just tell me what to change.

Oh, and all my mavericks and yosemite machines and all iOS devices, HTC M7, Blackberry all work fine with the existing configuration.

What has broken in ElC ? Or what do I need to different in ElC ? Or What do I set up in the router config that needs to be different for ElC ?
Thanks.

Update: I checked with Thunderbolt->Ethernet adapter as well as USB->Ethernet adapter (both made by Apple). Still no dice. Something has gotten really mixed up at the network layer.

Guys n Gals, please help
.

Unfortunately I don't have another ElC machine anywhere in my office.

Update 2: I can attach to any network and have connection established and IP address obtained etc. I can connect VPN and connect to company network. No issues. But at home it would not route anything. I turned off the firewall, etc. no luck.

Crazy thing is that it works fine at work. I also tried deleting all network interfaces and rebooting. Still no luck.

Something may be wrong with my machine too. I upgraded from mountain lion to Mavericks to Yosemite to ElC. But why does it work in one place and not in another? I don't have locations etc defined.

Is *no one* experiencing this ? Am I uniquely blessed ?

Update: Resolved.

The new update that came in today has fixed it. No idea what caused it. Works fine now both at work and at home.
Also the machine seems faster.

I've been having this issue with both iOS 9 and 10.11 DP. I just filed a bug report about this problem. That is interesting it is fixed in DP 5 for you. I haven't been able to patch yet because i can't download it. I still have weird wifi issues with iOS 9. I'm about to install DP 5. I was tempted to buy a new router because of this issue but I have verified that it doesn't happen on Yosemite or iOS 8.

Well. Hopefully it fixes it for you. Wireless diagnostic does not show any difference at all. Funny. Painful. Good luck.

It appears to be fixed for me as well. I just tried downloading the update package manually and it seems to be downloading like normal now. Thanks!
