I just got this email welcoming me to my “new iMac”. I’ve had this iMac for a while now and I’ve gotten this email when it was new.

Has anyone had this happen? I haven’t made any changes to my iMac so Apple would think it’s different

You can always look at to field and hover over it to get where's it from! Scammers are trying to lure Mac users all the time now!
It looks legit. I mean it’s impossible to tell because the from address could be spoofed but the links go to Apple’s website and nothing asks me to sign in.

I just searched my email and apparently this is the forth “Meet your new iMac” email I’ve received. I get so much junk mail that I guess I overlooked it. Apple has sent me one every three months. Maybe my iMac has been phoning home to Apple saying it’s being neglected and ignored ???

That's at least an oddity even if legitimate. I've had many Macs, do monitor my e-mail closely, and don't think I've ever received even one of those.

Maybe your not old enough that look good at first is not what it really like! Scammers are not kids anymore and organized gangs trying trick richer Mac users!

I’ve never received one of those emails, and I do have a new M1 iMac… I’d be very careful trying any of the links.
