I bought a new Apple TV yesterday and was dreading setting it up without a keyboard - swipe, click, swipe, click, etc. The setup sequence asked me to connect the device to my iPhone, and I was like.. oh, it can't be that easy. So, I connected them and two seconds later the Apple TV setup was complete.. and I just sat there trying to understand what sorcery had just taken place. Wow, just.. wow!

I researched some cord cutter options, since our landlord recently replaced our cable tv service with high-speed internet, and signed up for SlingTV. The entire setup process (Apple TV, SlingTV) took about 5 minutes.

I owned the first Apple TV, but this 4th gen model is amazing! Thanks, Apple!

Oh, and the screensaver.. O. M. G!

I am not a real fan of ATV but always happy when people do love it (or any other device they invest in). Hope you have a long time enjoyment with the ATV. Cheers!

Yeah the iPhone Bluetooth setup was the best thing Apple did for the ATV

Love my apple tv. It does so much more than I thought it could (initially just bought it for airplay) . There was an app for my cable company, it could control my receivers volume and turn on/off my tv. So now I don't even need my cable box anymore (one extra hdmi now) and I only use the siri remote to control everything. My three year old daughter can open netflix for example by herself.

My wife and I have two ATV 4's which are our main sources for video consumption. We don't miss cable at all since we have PS Vue, Hulu, Netflix, HBO, and STARZ subscriptions. Setting the ATV was an absolute breeze.

OP, glad to see you're enjoying your new ATV thus far!

Update: since being a new subscriber on SlingTV offers a 7 day free trial, I have been checking out the premium movie channels.. I have decided on Starz, as it seems to offer more of what I want. I'm loving my new ATV, and SlingTV seems to offer much more than ComCast did. I'm very happy that I took the chance on buying the ATV!

I also have 3 ATVs. I absolutely them coming from DirecTV which was my all time favorite service (even at the price). Never needing to stray from ATV to watch any streams, I also watch less garbage TV which means my TV is on 30% less I would say as there is less channel surfing. Then we go into binge watch mode. Love it.
