Saw this earlier today on the site tidbits.com:

Definitely worth reading and heeding the suggestion to avoid it for now. And the part about cloning software, and specifically SuperDuper!, definitely hits home with me.

I am going to wait to test Big Sur, most likely shortly after V11.1.x or V11.2.x appears. And again that will be for testing only. Will still be using Catalina as my primary, day to day OS. I am anticipating not moving to Big Sur until January, as that is when I expect Tech Tool Pro will have a version that is compatible with Big Sur. Of course, that assumes that my other 4 critical applications will already be compatible with updates.

Upgraded yesterday, thank you. But 11.0 is Big Sur, 11.1 is the next OS, 11.2 the next one... and so on.

I thought they were going to use both places after the decimal points for versions of Big Sur. But if they just use the last one, OK, I could be mistaken regarding te numbering future versions. Either way, I am waiting until at least 2 more "major" versions of Big Sur to appear. That will be V11.1.x, 11.2.x, 11.0.2, or V11.0.3.
