Upon doing the update, something got messed up and I had to do a restore, fine, no problem, I had a fresh backup done so I do the restore but now there's a few apps that had updates and I'm getting odd error messages, does anyone know what this means??

Any help will greatly be appreciated,

Thanks!

Try rebooting the phone and then sync.

How did you do the install? It's never a good idea to download & install at the same time during release day for new firmware due to network traffic.

I always make a point to download first, then do the install once the file is complete.

Ok

OK, I know what error you are getting but I don't see how. The Warning is Low memory. What you may have to do is restore it and choose New Phone. Then go back and install any Applications, and or Music and try that. First do your Applications then what ever else you put on.

MAKE SURE TO MKE SURE YOU CHOOSE NEW PHONE. YOU WILL STILL KEEP YOUR NUMBER BUT EVER SETTING THAT YOU HAD APPLYED WILL BE DELETED. I HAVE HAD MANY EMAILS ON WUESTIONS LIKE THIS. THIS SEEMS TO WORK FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE.

That would really suck, though, because doing that means he would lose all application data (prefs, high scores, etc.).

I just did the install...

Here is my advice for others on doing it....Take it or leave it.

1. Sync your phone and allow it to do a backup as normal
2. Click "Check for Update"
3. Download Only...Do not download & install
4. Once complete go ahead and update your phone.

** I took the following extra steps just because I'm anal

a. After downloading the 2.0.2 firmware, i unsync'd everything off the phone except my applications. Part of the firmware update is backing up data on your phone. I wanted to mitigate the risk of iTunes timing out by reducing the amount of data present on the phone. Apps were kept because they don't take much space and I wanted to ensure I didn't lose any data associated with them (to do apps, etc..)

b. Updated my firmware and sync'd everything back in

Everything works perfectly...Hope it goes well for everyone else

Only way

Believe me, Its the only way. You can try to do as other people said and use this a a last resort, although I can sure you, Any other ideas will not work unless you get lucky.

Also try going to the setting application ions on the iPhone and go to General and scroll all the way to te bottom and choose reset. Reset All Settings. Try that.

I just had that issue the other day on 2.0.1....setting up as a new phone is not the only way.

I think there is a version mismatch or something on the phone or computer. All I did was uncheck those offending apps from the app tab, sync, and then reselect 'all applications' and then sync again.....problem resolved.
