went back to 3.0 with 2G phone- now have no network!

I did indeed go back to 3.0 from 3.1 and jbed/unlocked the phone. I put my sim in from my 3G and now it won't connect to a network. Any ideas? Thanks for your help and time.

Exactly what I did:

Updated to 3.1
Realized I was stupid- went back to 3.0 using iPhone 1,1 3.0 software
Unlocked/JBed using redsnow
Put my 3G sim in, no network..

Maybe I was to use iPhone 1,2 software?
Shouldn't it still work as a phone and iPod, just no internet with the sim in there? Thanks.
