iPod Went for a Shuffle... left with a Nano

Did anyone else do that? I lost my old Shuffle (left it at the hotel gym in Mexico) so I went to Best Buy today to grab a replacement. I use it primarily for working out... I decided to get the Nano because I could listen to podcasts or change to different albums more easily. Not being able to listen to podcasts annoyed me on my shuffle. I do think i'm going to miss the physical buttons though. Oh well... time will tell!
 
No, but I picked up a Shuffle as a impulse buy. I hate touch screen devices for media players. Now the only one left is the classic and it hasn't been really updated in 3 years.

Classic is still my fav though even though it hasn't been updated forever.
 
i was going to get the new shuffle also....but last friday i won a nano at work.

i used it at the gym last night and it worked out great...i like the crossfade feature . i dont have to worry about bumping it and it changing the playlist on me also...

im probably going to go the wireless route..just cant decide on which bluetooth stereo headset....
 
The new iPod Nano is pretty darn cool. I'm actually thinking of getting one also but something has kept me from actually buying it. I have the previous version and two prior to that, The Shuffle is just not my cup of tea as I don't like to be surprised with my music and I like control of what I'm listening to. I bought the very first iPod Shuffle while it was fun to use at first it kind of got annoying.

The Classic is my favorite iPod and I love it. I can't wait for the next version or the upgrade. I think it's time but Apple is not updating it for some odd reason.

Thats exactly why I like the shuffle, its random and it keeps me from saturating songs by listening to the same ones over and over again.

I like the Classic because I don't have to pick what I want to sync.

Nano is just a odd one out for my uses.

The Shuffle has been my favorite iPod for years, specifically because it is so easy to control without looking at it. The size and clip are great, too, but it shares those traits with the Nano, of course.

I almost solely listen to podcasts and I have never (intentionally) randomly shuffled anything. The only thing I dislike about it is when you are 2 hours into a 4 hour long podcast and you accidentally bump into something that pushes the back button.

i think you can lock the buttons on the shuffle now somehow.

That lock feature would be useful to me when I'm 40' up a ladder, with a paint can in one hand and a brush in the other, and I bump the ladder with the shuffle in my pocket.

I have a 2nd generation Shuffle and it plays podcasts just fine.
 
My only problem with Nano is the price and lack of bluetooth capabilities.

They are charging 149 dollars for 8GB model and I think that's crazy. It costs apple about 49 dollars to make iPod nano.
 
Watch the build quality on these new nanos. Reports of dying sleep/wake buttons are popping up all over the internet.
