WePad was announced by the small cap Neofonie, a German based company in Berlin. The design is similar to iPad, but based on a open OS, supporting Flash video and better connectivity as external memory. More pictures you find about WePad at STERN a major German weekly newspaper. According to HEISE.de news ticker the STERN publischer GRUNER & JAHR also announced at his last Thursdays annual press conference to work on a digital newspaper version for WePad (see text not the picture). STERN sells some 900.000 printed copies per week which makes the existance of a WePad more evident even close to 1st April. WePad is also reported by the online version of DER SPIEGEL the leading German political weekly news magazine comparable to (US) TIME Magazine. Sorry, all references pointing to German (language) sources.

lol they really trying to compare this with the ipad? they should better compare themselves with the joojoo :)

Do i hear a lawsuit coming up?!

Apple really should make an app or something called iSueU.

Terrible quality renders (mock-ups). What's that lady holding? doesn't look like the example renders, looks more like a photoshop'd... binder?

IF that is for real (and I stress IF as-in, hopefully not a scam to get credit card #'s to pre-order a non-existent device), Disclaimer: My apologies IF it is real, but IF it is- then no doubt Apple is already slapping stamps on the cease and desist letter.
