...into the iPhone/iPod Touch category here in the forums.

Frankly I wondered why the iPad category wasn't here in the first place. I wonder why Arn decided to move us now?

Besides, why would I ask for the actual answer when yet another thread full of baseless speculation is exactly what the doctor ordered? :D

apple didn't put it in the same section as the ipods so i don't think it should be with them on here either.

just my .02

So I'm the only one with direct links to the subforums I actually read?

Never would have noticed without this thread.

It's Friday night, though, so maybe after a few drinks I will be able to work up some indignation.

I pointed out the inconsistency of it still being in the hardware section to them.
You're welcome! :D

Yeah! We're not gonna take it anymore!

Like that. :D

Who needs direct links :) I haven't restarted my browser in at least the last week!

...because iPads aren't Apple hardware?!? Are they software, then?

I'm not sure I'm following your line of reasoning here.

I not sure you even have one or just can't see the forest for the trees.
Are you trolling or just one of those people that can't accept that the iPhone , ipodTouch, and iPad are variations on the same basic design. They are in the same family using the iphone OS modified for each. The same line of Arm processors and are part of the Apps store ecosystem/business model.
Enough said.

It was likely moved at the suggestion of user input

As I recall, when the iPad Forum was set up, it was just a Tablet Forum before the announcement was actually made and very little was known about the iPad, its OS, and its place at the time

this was my original quote that may have sparked the plug..

Yes, it does make a complete difference!!!!

It gets annoying going to "mac hardware" then "iPad discussion!"

haha:D

Strangely enough, I even consider iPhones, iPod Touch's, and iPods* to be Apple hardware!

Weird, huh?

Now if the grouping was Mac Hardware, I might be able to go along with your "logic".

(* Interestingly, the "iPod and iTunes Discussion" forum is grouped in the "Apple Hardware" category.)
